Why isn’t the sign saying “Merry Christmas Morley”!?!
Has political correctness even reached Morley!?!

I’m told it has been like this since Morley first got Christmas lights post-1974 re-organisation in the mid-eighties, and the adviser commented that it was no wonder the lights had gone…

I hope it doesn’t take Morley Council thirty two years to change a bulb!

No Snafu, it worked fine last year!

They are taken down every year and re-erected so they presumably get checked and fixed annually. (It isn’t like Blackpool, where the Illuminations team patrol the prom in their rapid response vehicle, a flat bed lorry with a tethered cherry picker).
