According to Tom Robinson, when I saw him at one of the Leeds Heineken festivals, he once shared a bill with Alex Harvey. As a young star, most famous for the anthem “Glad to be Gay”, he ws a little nervous about meeting a grizzled Glaswegian rocker who sang about gang bangs. Apparently, though, Tom says Alex was no stranger to - and I can’t resist borrowing your phrase, here - the bum routine himself,and they got on like a house on fire.
