Mr. November

Mr November 2003This is Vinny, the Batley Round Table Sports officer 2003, here “sporting” a very “cheeky” pose. Vinny is in the building trade, mainly shoplifting shopfitting and interior refurbishment. Ladies, feel free to click on the picture for a larger version of the diminutive sportsman.

This is number eight in a series of twelve made specially for the 2003 Ladies Night with all funds going to the community account. The Calendar was produced in early 2003 in almost total secrecy, although 11 blokes getting their kit off in a bed shop in Outwood is hard to keep secret.

The earlier calendar boys are in previous posts, check out out the Good Causes Category

So nice to have you back where you belong…

This is included with WordPress 2 blog software: the Hello Dolly Plugin.

Dolly the sheepThis is not just a plugin, it symbolizes the hope and enthusiasm of an entire generation summed up in two words sung most famously by Louis Armstrong: Hello, Dolly. When activated you will randomly see a lyric from Hello, Dolly in the upper right of your admin screen on every page.

It was the first ever WordPress plugin and someone found a bug in it! It is delightfully pointless and ironic at the same time as being a working example that did something almost, but not quite, entirely useless. Feel free to sing along!

Hello, Dolly
Well, hello, Dolly
It’s so nice to have you back where you belong
You’re lookin’ swell, Dolly
I can tell, Dolly
You’re still glowin’, you’re still crowin’
You’re still goin’ strong
We feel the room swayin’
While the band’s playin’
One of your old favourite songs from way back when
So, take her wrap, fellas
Find her an empty lap, fellas
Dolly’ll never go away again
Hello, Dolly
Well, hello, Dolly
It’s so nice to have you back where you belong
You’re lookin’ swell, Dolly
I can tell, Dolly
You’re still glowin’, you’re still crowin’
You’re still goin’ strong
We feel the room swayin’
While the band’s playin’
One of your old favourite songs from way back when
Golly, gee, fellas
Find her a vacant knee, fellas
Dolly’ll never go away
Dolly’ll never go away
Dolly’ll never go away again.
