Then and now

Filed under: Shady stuff, Techy — Shades @ 9:30 pm

Every now and then, David’s school puts on an art gallery. They frame up artworks and the parents can buy them for £6 a pop. (A third party Company does all of the legwork).

We couldn’t resist David’s picture and we also bought his last one from a couple of years ago. Here they are, in purchase order:

Then…

and now

(Sorry about the glare on the first one, I snapped it on the wall.)

Meanwhile, I have a picture of my own.

Alarm reading on UPS

This is what an uninterruptible power supply tells you when the Electricity Supply has the phases mixed up.  Not something you want to be seeing when you have several hours of network effort relying on reliable mains. (It also makes motors turn the wrong way which doesn’t do lifts and pumps any good at all. I once repaired the safety curtain at Bristol Hippodrome and it occurred to me that if I had muddled the wiring it would have been very expensive indeed). All’s well that ends well, fortunately, then and now.

  2. I think David is a very talented artist and I can imagine people other than his parents buying them. I’m sure you are very proud to hang them on the wall.
Glad the techie stuff was sorted.

  3. I don’t think you can buy other Children’s work. The first time, the kids got their pictures back (unframed), this time David says they will go in the IT room.
