Some New Year resolutions

  1. Take my medical condition more seriously- eating/exercise
  2. Finish three books- Les Miserables, Atlas Shrugged, Lost Empires
  3. Do some much needed decorating in the house
  4. Learn how to put sealant round the bath properly
  5. Opt out of the NHS Spine IT disaster
  6. Pay close attention to the UK Libertarian Party

That’ll do for now. I commend 5 and 6 to the Shadeience.

Holding my breath

“Integrity returns to British Politics”, but not punctuality, it seems!

Not a good start for the UK Libertarian Party.

No doubt it will be updated when their hangovers clear.

***UPDATE- now live, see comments for reason, I wasn’t too far off the mark!***

The twelve days of Christmas

There is an interesting feature over at the Adam Smith Institute Blog . Each day, they explain the legend of that particular day of Christmas, then linking it in some way to something policy-wise they have a view on (and they have a view on everything!)

Today is the eighth day of Christmas and here is the eight maids a milking gate from the Snowflake Maze, constructed by Adrian Fisher Mazes (site well worth a look).

Eight maids a milking gate- Snowflake Maze,

The previous ASI articles are seven swans a swimming, six geese a laying, five gold rings, four calling birds, three french hens, two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree.
