I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud…

Yesterday, I crutched myself into the kitchen and found a vase full of stems. My first reaction was that Karen had done a “Jack & the Beanstalk” and traded in a cow for some magic beans. I then realised that it was a bunch of daffodils, or more accurately 2 bunches from Morley Market at 50p each. Within a couple of hours, by the time I got Karen to snap this photo, they were already showing signs of budding…

A bunch of stems

By late morning some definite flowering going on.

Signs of life!

Mutley, he is there to give it human scale. (It was too much like hard work to hobble round and get a view without David in it.)

I broke down yesterday and bought two bunches of tulips, 2/$5.98. I think you got a good deal there for I only got 10 stems in all, but you seem to have a lot more there.
