Womble, that probably isn't all you'd want to give me in those circumstances, judging by the last answer...

JMB, losing weight is easy, I've done it loads of times...

Ther problem is one of atrition, of course, atrition of the waistline slowly but steadily over time. (For us blokes anyway, for women it is a bit less predictable where it goes on).

Mutley, you are certainly right. Our work club is being run by one of our Chefs who is also shaped like a Weeble. He has promised us healthy recipes and a healthy daily choice in the staff restaurant, although I bring in my own healthy lunch anyway.

I think these clubs provide impetus and a bit of discipline and some nice recipes - not much more...

I did Weightwatchers at Work years ago and we had one male. He was a big fellow, not only in weight but in size, a former fireman, who was then our safety officer. Anyway although we all liked him personally we all hated him in the group because the weight fell off him while we women all struggled to lose a little at a time.

A couple of years ago I needed to lose again so instead of paying people money I formed a little diet group with three others. We meet once every two weeks, drink only tea and encourage each other. I know more about dieting than any leader of weight watchers since I've read extensively and we all bring information to the group.

Funnily enough we all fell off the wagon at the same time and put on some weight again but since January we are determinedly doing it again. No one can do it for you, no matter how much money you pay them. Only you can do it.

I think if I were you I would join the group since it is so cheap. I guess diabetes complicates it a bit too. Good luck to you Ian, remember it's for your health's sake and your family will thank you for it.
