I believe to qualify, you need to be appropriately employed on the day of paperwork submission and the day of the election, so if it is the Council job he is claiming and he is not elected, that would be curious. But that is unlikely, because it has been reported in the Morley Observer that he left his job of 23 years, (which was working for Kirklees Council) on 19th March 2008.
