Firkin Art on ebay…

Filed under: Humour — Shades @ 8:32 pm

Just in case you wondered what Firkin the cat looked like, from yesterday’s comics posting.

The live ebay lot is here, I won’t be bidding for it as Karen wouldn’t really approve of such frivolous purchases and I’m not called Kevin.

(”So let me have a look at this porn mag you bought…”)

Kinda wobbly, isn’t he?

This is the classic line by Thumper the rabbit in Disney’s movie bambi and the thought that popped straight in my head when I saw the new born baby deer at Snettisham Park on holiday. It had been half out of it’s mother on the 11:30 safari and we were on the 12:15 one so he was very new indeed.

Snettisham is a working farm that also doubles as an attraction, with lots of animals and other activities. It is guarded by a Llama called Inky that David managed to provoke into spitting at him by making “gozzing” type noises.

The highlight if (it is the first time you have seen it) is feeding the lambs, it is remarkable how fast they will scamper towards you and if they lose the bottle teat, they might suckle on your nose!

For me, I enjoyed seeing the Deer best, particularly the stags with their velvet covered antlers. (The velvet eventually comes off before the fighting season & they grow a new pair every year). One complete set of antlers had been fixed onto the beams of the cafe to show how big they progressively get over the years.
