Wabbit Woundabout

Filed under: Shady stuff — Shades @ 5:05 pm

Our nearby shopping centre has a rabbit infested roundabout. It is rare not to spot a fluffy tail when driving past. Rabbits are renowned breeders and as this is a very busy road right next to some social housing they do well to breed in the face of pollution, traffic and the probable unwanted attention of the local scratters.

There is now a bit of a ritual in the Grey family regarding Wabbit Woundabout. It is on the way to Leeds so we pass it fairly regularly.

Whenever we pass, David trys to spot rabbits. He more often spots one than not, and then Karen and/or I do Elmer Fudd impressions. If you don’t make the connection, see the Video below for a very wagneresque snippet of a Bugs Bunny cartoon.

  1. Actually that is a fair sized roundabout but food must be limited. Maybe people feed them, like they do cats in Italy.

  2. Why does this remind me of Winnie the Pooh and where they went round and round?

  3. JMB, I wonder if they have burrowed under the road? there are lush shrubberies nearby along with a pond.

James, I was thinking more of Swindon.
