		<description>Our kids partner high school is ramping up these kinds of offerings. The Ruddmeister is keen on skills training and there is quite a bit of money to invest in equipment. I also think that all the stuff that we missed out on, home economics etc is pretty useful. I hope my kids are exposed to more of that. 

My memories of those classes were pretty negative. There were some mean old bastards who were living out their later working lives terrorising mostly disinterested kids.

The drafting and metalwork guys were the worst.</description>

		<description>I hear that industrial education is a dying subject, here at least. Even my son did only one year of it and my daughter one year of cooking. One IE teacher I know changed to teaching English as he was phased out.</description>
