This brings back fond memories of my childhood...

We broke down on the top of Snaefell in the pouring rain. Dad called out the RAC (only one van on the whole of the Island). The van drove past us in our plight, so a passing car took him down to the nearest phone box where he joined the AA.

Mum and two kids abandoned at the top of the hill, it still makes us all smile to this day :-)

CC, the Isle of Person, perhaps? When I encounter people who are ChairPersons I ask them if they have a Personager at work.

JMB, Isle of Man is hugely popular with Bikers, due to the TT races. It was massively popular up until the package holiday came along, the same as most UK resorts.

You certainly found lots to do on the Isle of Man. Is it a popular holiday destination? I actually had to look it up to find exactly where it is.

Oh and I am shocked that it is still called the Isle of Man. I would have thought the the pc brigade would be lobbying for Isle of Human or something.

Nae snae fell in Snaefell?

Reminds me of my many unfulfilled ambitions to see the view from the top of Scottish mountains. A very rare occurrence.

More common the mist and usually wind and rain that you portray so well in the photographs.
