The war on terror

Via Bruce Schneier, Kent police have seized a board game as part of raids on environmentalists in a bit of a rumpus about them planning to disrupt the nearby power station. This game is called War on Terror and is satirical, being a little like RISK with a map of the world. A spinner is used (called the axis of evil) to decide who is the baddie next and they have to wear a balaclava with the word EVIL on it. A police spokesman said:

the balaclava “could be used to conceal someone’s identity or could be used in the course of a criminal act”.

Yeah, right. Nothing to do with bullying and intimidation then?

(Psst, don’t tell anyone, but you can buy balaclavas from various subversive shops in Britain, like Halfords and Milletts).
