Tomb of the unknown soldier
Two soldiers guard the memorial day and night in one hour shifts, ignoring the tourists. Every now and again they swap sides, starting and stopping simultaneously. I think I eventually worked out what the secret signal was, but I don’t recall now. (It was twenty years ago, cut me some slack…)
I notice they have presented a brief tribute to the Isle of man here in passing. (Three legs, geddit?)
P.S. If you haven’t worked it out, it is in Athens, Greece.

Great photo. No, I didn’t work it out!

These photos are really good for scanned ones. But the shoes are not all going in the same direction Sir.

JMB, you are right, it wouldn’t make a good arse kicking machine unlike the Isle of Man thingy.
I’ve noticed a couple of my photos that I have dug out to blog on are showing signs of chemical breakdown so I must get round to scanning them properly.
The scanner is a £50 all-in-one Epson DX7400 that I bought at ASDA recently. It doesn’t need the PC turned on to work as a copier and you can stick memory cards in it as well so it is quite flexible.
Welshcakes, it might have been blinking but I can’t really remember now. I know they had a handshake acknowledgement sequence with their secret signals so that they both started on time.
