JMB, I think we'll be battening down the hatches for a while as I reckon things are going to get very challenging over in Yoorop.

I'll be blogging on my thoughts, when I can make time to do so.

The old scientist might say the same thing Shades, not about you of course. Those parcels keep arriving in the post so that there is no hiding it. Of course I do have my own credit card and pay for it as well, always in full because I'm like Karen. I don't buy "it" if I don't have the money to pay for "it".

Karen wishes to point out that I buy far too much stuff on Amazon without <strike>permission</strike>consulting her first.

May I say that you are lucky to have married Karen when you did, for many more reasons than the one listed here I'm sure.

It is all a house of cards when you think about it and I wonder it hasn't come tumbling down long ago. I guess when the government decides to intervene with that first financial institute they think it will only be the one, but all of them are so intertwined nowadays that it is almost inevitable that others are in the same trouble. Right now the banks don't even trust each other and interbank lending has come to a halt.

I think the years of the Great Depression will always haunt all of us and no one wants to see that situation again so the government tries nip such a thing in the bud. I don't think, despite all the complaining and ranting about they should do this or that, any one of us would like to be making these decisions.

That's one of the most interesting posts I've read. I wish I had been more careful at certain times because when the blow comes, it sweeps all away and then it's a case of finding land again.
