It is all a house of cards when you think about it and I wonder it hasn't come tumbling down long ago. I guess when the government decides to intervene with that first financial institute they think it will only be the one, but all of them are so intertwined nowadays that it is almost inevitable that others are in the same trouble. Right now the banks don't even trust each other and interbank lending has come to a halt. I think the years of the Great Depression will always haunt all of us and no one wants to see that situation again so the government tries nip such a thing in the bud. I don't think, despite all the complaining and ranting about they should do this or that, any one of us would like to be making these decisions.
