Pardon our dust
Regulars to this blog might be slightly surprised to find it looking rather austere today.
I try to keep the Wordpress software level current but the template I was using is no longer supported and there are some things wrong with it under the hood. I have unsuccessfully tinkered with various plug-ins to add functionality but I didn’t wise up that there was a bigger underlying problem. I only realised this when a routine check of my AWStats 404 not found errors showed a large number of random pages searched for via Google that were not directly accessible. Also, some of the local search functionality was munged.
I’m on the lookout for another suitable template but I’m not in too much of a rush, especially as I’m rather busy until December.
A new improved bloglook will eventually appear. In the meantime, we are still open for business even though the shop front is boarded up.
I still have the very same austere template I started out with on day one. Of course I have added so much to the sidebar it looks like the dog’s breakfast but I have never dared to change the template. I await the new look with interest.
