David received a new Wasgij (backwards jigsaw) from Grandma Pat. Here is a box lid:-
Normally, a Wasgij shows a mirror image view of what the people you can see can see, but in this case it is more like a two frame cartoon. Here is the jigsaw now complete:-
Mmm. I don’t seem to have the concept from this example. Never heard of them needless to say. We have dozens of jigsaw puzzles since they were very popular in our household. Some so large we could not fit them them on the table and we have a thing called a puzzle board.
The twist is that you can’t rely on the illustration on the box lid to help you solve it too much.
Karen loves jigsaws and we have a jig-roll somewhere, a roll-up jigsaw cloth/tube arrangement. We mostly use a big board though which appears to be hardboard sheeting off an old door (I’ve no idea where it came from). It will go under the sofa but it tends to just live on the table or the floor until the puzzle is solved.
