Chavmas is coming

Filed under: Culture — Shades @ 9:47 pm

Christmas arrived at Morley ASDA on November 1st, shortly after they cleared out the Halloween stuff. Actually, we had a sneak peek a month or so ago when a large Santa appeared in the Foyer  along with some giant baubles in one of the centre aisles. Now ASDA HQ is in Leeds so I imagine it was a test run or perhaps a photo-shoot. The crackers have been arranged on the top of the chilled food fridges for a while now as presumably storage space is tight out back in the warehouse.

Christmas comes to Morley on November 20th for the annual lights switch-on. The strings of lights have been up for a while and the one on the side of the Town Hall was proclaiming Seasons Greetings to Morley a little early. (It did last year as well.)

This bit of fun below has been posted on the Facebook Morley group and is causing some mirth. (Morley has its own selection of chavtastic sub-culture).

Thought for the day: If Lesbians go dogging, is it called catting?
