Sometimes I sits and thinks…

Blogging will be fairly intermittent over the next 2-3 months; I have some studying to do as well as devoting some attention to charitable matters. Work is also about to get extremely busy as well in the run up to a huge project.

In the meantime, have you ever visited friends on a new housing estate and wondered why the streets are totally cluttered up with cars these days?

Blame John Prescott. In a nasty piece of anti-car social engineering, developers are no longer permitted to provide adequate provision for two car families. I heard all about his when I was on the Morley planning Committee where I had naively assumed it was the developers skimping to squeeze more properties into the land available. It turns out to be something called PPG13.

I’m informed that the same applies to offices as well, in or out of town.

Needless to say, a Libertarian Party Government would sweep away allauthorative  restrictions on people being able to do what they want with their own property without Government interference.
