Newcastle Paramount

This is an illustrated lecture presented some years ago to the Mercia Cinema Society.

There are approximately 70 images, which may be slow to load on 56k connections.

The resolution is mediocre and graphics are simplistic as there were technology limitations constraining the presentation.

Another key point to remember is that the comments seen are just memory joggers for the presentation, the oral aspects would have been more elaborate and carefully paced. The use of a laser pen to highlight key points on the slides would have made sitting through the paper a much more rewarding experience. Sitting at home in front of a PC will never reproduce the atmosphere  of a carefully staged conference in a theatre environment.

These comments aside, I have enjoyed re-discovering the presentation and I hope that it is well received, rough & ready though it may be.

Enjoy!
